Australia's Biggest Duck Race

It’s a quacking great race that could win one lucky duck a $45,000 car, a $15,000 holiday voucher a $10,000 boat, or a $4,200 travel voucher!

The 4pm show stopper event will see tens of thousands of yellow rubber ducks tipped in to the Brisbane River, turning the water into a sea of yellow as they race along a 100m course in the fight against cancer. First beaks across the line win the above prizes! 


Pradella River Stage

Headlining the Pradella River Stage at the Summertime Riverfest featuring Australia’s Biggest Duck Race for a one-off show is Australia’s premiere supergroup, The Antipodean Rock ‘n’ Roll Collective (ARC), featuring four of Aussie rock’s most iconic players – Kram from Spiderbait, Mark Wilson from Jet, Davey Lane from You Am I and Darren Middleton from Powderfinger.

With 33 Aria Awards and 16 Top 10 albums between them, ARC will entertain with music that everyone truly loves, playing some of the biggest hits from each of the members’ respective bands. ARC’s show will be a chance to genuinely interact with some of the best rock ‘n’ roll from yesterday and today. And still party like there’s no tomorrow.

The River Stage will provide festival goers with a perfect opportunity to chill out along the river banks while enjoying a Saturday session with some of Brisbane’s best local artists.

There will be a great mix of music creating infectious fun to keep you shaking your tail feathers well into the night.

In addition to ARC, artists gracing the stage include: Australian indie guitar pop group Screamfeeder, The Rockabilly Hi-Boys hailing from the Sunshine Coast and Australian Producer and Pianist Ant Aggs and his Trio. (More bands to be confirmed).


Duck Inn - Chill Out Zone

The Duck Inn is THE Chill Out Zone to be in. It’s sure to fit the bill with Network TEN live on stage kids shows from Totally Wild, Crocamole, Toasted TV and Scope personalities.

Brisbane artist Shanon Watkins, who’s music has been described as a cross between Ben Harper and Jack Johnson, will also be entertaining the crowds with his soulful vocals, acoustic guitar, melodies and lyrics all uniquely Watkins.



St. George Gone Quackers Kids Zone

Exactly as the name suggests this is THE area for kids to hang out have fun, learn and explore.

Meet Festival Ambassadors and Network TEN personalities, explore your inner artist and make your very own yellow rubber race duck.

There’s also face painting, tea cup rides, jumping castles and zorbing which makes the kids zone the perfect chill-out area for the whole family during a big quacking day out. New to 2017 is the St. George Queensland Reds Inflatable Football Field.


Celebrity Duck Race

Who doesn’t love a bit of competition between celebrities? Celebrities will take on each other to see who will be the mightiest duck of them all in the Celebrity Duck Race.

Those brave enough will embark in a giant inflatable duck on the Brisbane River and prepare for a feathery battle down a 50-metre course. Be prepared for a laugh or two as this race never disappoints! 

Regatta Gourmet Street Bites

What would a festival be without a lane of gourmet food to tantalise your taste buds? Take a waddle down the Regatta Gourmet Street and feast on delights that make the Regatta Hotel a much-loved Brisbane icon.

The Regatta Hotel has moved to the Summertime Riverfest for the party! Pull up the perfect pew, front and centre of the Pradella River Stage to catch all the festival’s best action!  
Grab your flock a booth and relax for the afternoon or shake your tail feathers into the evening and hit the dance floor in front of the River Stage.  You’d be quackers to miss this one.
